A beautiful day and a walk around Watermead. A Hobby hunting over one of the reed beds was my first sighting ( Sadly only a few rubbish pictures. Three Little Egrets flew overhead and out into the distance. Brown Hawkers, Southern Hawkers and Migrant Hawker were everywhere. The call of a distant Cetti’s warbler and the Herons most common call is a loud, harsh “frarnk”, rang out too. Blackberries were in abundance and ready to be harvested, 2.5kg in half an hour.
