Bees and Hovers.

Well the Bees and Hoverflies are around in good numbers at the minute. Just walking one minute from my home to a hedge produced around 10 different species.

Garden Bullfinches.

We sadly lost one of out regular males after he hit the house window. But still seem to have two pairs coming in to feed. But one of these males seems to have an injured leg .

Red Admiral.

Checking out some Ivy that was flowering for Hoverflies and various other pollen feeders I found a glut of Red Admiral Butterflies. Never seen so many all together.

Hoverflies.

A lovely sunny day and a casual walk down by the local brook. Ivy was covering the walls and a great array of Hoverflies were greedily  feeding .
